She/Her
I believe that everyone deserves to feel accepted, cared for, and validated, and everyone deserves a safe space to explore who they are and get to know themselves better. Small talk is fine, but Olivia is very passionate about getting to know people on a deeper, beyond-the-surface level and making those genuine connections! She believes everyone has unique experiences that have made them who they are today. She also affirms that one of the best parts of joining the helping field is learning about yourself along the way, so when you feel you are burdensome, you are NOT, come talk to Olivia who feels it is a synergetic journey where both people are growing and learning!
Olivia received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Longwood University and continued her graduate education at Longwood in the Counselor Education program, focusing on Mental Health Counseling. She officially completed her Master's degree at the end of 2023. Following her Master's degree, she will begin her residency to pursue her independent counseling license (LPC). She is open to different populations and problem areas and greatly emphasizes the importance of a healthy relationship between herself and my clients, as this always goes a long way in progressing therapeutically- a safe and trusting presence is key! She is also excited to work with those from the LGBTQIA+ community!
In her free time, Olivia enjoys exercising, playing guitar/piano, spending time with her loved ones, and playing video games! In addition to listening to music and playing soccer, she enjoys going on hikes, going camping, and walking through nature, as she loves the outdoors! “If I had a favorite place to be, it would probably be at a cabin in the mountains or anywhere that I can get a great view of the stars at night!”
