They/he
David prides themselves on creating a safe and loving space for their clients where they are comfortable and free to be their truest form. They focus primarily on integrating Feminist, Cognitive Behavioral, and Person-Centered approaches into their counseling, but are well-versed in a wide variety of therapeutic styles and techniques.
David’s primary areas of research are within the LGBTQIA+ community, people working with religious trauma, anxiety, and depression. They also focus on finding alternative forms of integration of the therapeutic and healing processes such as video and tabletop games, as supplements to their usual talk-based therapeutic approach.
David received their Masters of Education at Pennsylvania State University. While there, they worked in a variety of therapeutic settings. They spent their first year working at the Herr Clinic, working in one-on-one talk-based counseling settings, focused on working with people ages 18-25. They then spent their second year working at the State College Area School district, where they continued their work as a one-on-one talk therapist while also running the LGBTQIA+ Affinity group. David now works at Apple Tree as a Resident in Counseling under the Supervision of Michelle Kauble.
When not in session, David enjoys spending time with their friends, playing video games and tabletop games, singing, and performing!
